I will pick up where Angie left off by listing some of the comments made by a team who is confident in WHO is leading us to, in and from Quito as they learned that our VBS had been canceled due to Swine Flu:
"The Lord will guide this team in the direction we should go..."
"God is doing something big in each of us through this..."
"We are still going to Ecuador on Saturday!"
"Trusting God for what His plan is...looking forward to serving with you girls"
"I am looking forward to our next assignment."
"We will show God's love wherever we go and however we serve."
"What a perfect scenario for a control-freak like me. Humbled by the team's lack of grumbling, inspired by your words, and grateful to know each of you."
"God will build your faith by planting a dream within you. But that dream will require a decision of faith, and then God will stretch your faith as you face delays, difficulties and dead ends. It is then that god comes and delivers. God does a miracle. God provides a solution."
"Praise God that He trusts us to wait upon Him. Praise God for what He is about to do. And thanks be to God He is allowing us to be part of His "miracle"!"
"Jesus loves us, this I KNOW!!! Press on, friends, press on!"
We received an email from Mari yesterday afternoon stating that we will be leading a Vacation Bbile School for 90 children, ages 5 - 10, at the Quito City Dump this coming week. These are children that know nothing about what this world has to offer our children here in the US. I am weeping as I write this because I feel so privileged to serve God in Quito and share Jesus with these 90 little children that I know are purposed Just For Us this coming week!
As you can see, we desperately need your prayers and look forward to sharing what God is doing along the way!
As so many have closed their emails saying, IN HIS GRIP,
Sherri & the most amazing mission team EVER :-)!!!
